At a glance

  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only — never wear, damage, misuse or installation errors.
  • Installation-sensitive parts are covered only with an invoice for professional installation.
  • Every claim is inspected and decided by GEARGO; the remedy is our choice: repair, then replacement, then refund.
  • No proof of purchase and installation, no claim.

This summary is for orientation only. The full policy below is what applies.

Overview

Products on GEARGO carry a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, given by the manufacturer, the Seller or GEARGO. The period and any special conditions are shown on the product page under Warranty. This Policy sets out how that warranty applies and how claims are handled; it should be read with the Terms & Conditions and the Refunds & Returns Policy.

The warranty is a limited commercial warranty. It is not insurance, it does not cover everything that can go wrong with a part, and it applies only when the conditions in this Policy are met. GEARGO assesses every claim and decides whether it is covered; that decision is final subject to Section 10.

02

Warranty periods

Unless the product page states a different period, the following apply from the date of delivery:

CategoryWarranty periodConditions
Brakes, suspension, steering and drivetrain parts12 months or 20,000 km, whichever firstProfessional installation invoice required
Electronics: screens, dash cameras, sensors, chargers12 monthsProfessional installation invoice required
Lighting: headlights, LED modules, ambient lighting12 monthsProfessional installation invoice required
Wheels and tyres12 months against manufacturing defectsTread wear, impact and road damage excluded
Floor mats, organisers, covers, trim and exterior accessories6 monthsManufacturing defects only
Detailing chemicals, films, fluids and consumablesNone beyond the shelf life on the packaging—
Master Service workmanship6 months from installationCovers the installation only, not the part

Where a manufacturer offers a longer warranty, the manufacturer’s terms apply and claims under it are made with the manufacturer; GEARGO will help you find the right contact but does not extend the manufacturer’s warranty itself.

03

What the warranty covers

The warranty covers only:

  • A defect in materials or workmanship that existed when the product was delivered and that makes the product fail to perform as described under normal use in the vehicle it is listed as compatible with.
  • For Master Service: a defect in the installation itself — loose fittings, incorrect wiring or connection, or damage caused by the technician.

It covers the product only. It does not cover the cost of diagnosis elsewhere, removal, refitting, towing, hire cars, lost time or any other loss, except as stated in Section 8 or required by law.

04

What voids the warranty or is not covered

A claim will be refused where any of the following applies:

  • Wear and tear — brake pads and discs, tyre tread, wiper blades, bulbs, filters, batteries, seals and other parts that wear in use.
  • Installation-sensitive product fitted without professional installation or without an installation invoice (Section 5).
  • Installation in a vehicle the product is not listed as compatible with, or fitting with incompatible parts, adapters, software or accessories.
  • Incorrect installation, wiring or configuration by anyone, including a workshop; the workshop is responsible for its own work.
  • Damage from an accident, impact, flood, fire, corrosion, extreme heat or cold, road debris, animals, vandalism, or exposure the product is not rated for.
  • Modification, repair, opening or disassembly of the product by anyone other than GEARGO or a workshop we authorised in writing.
  • Use contrary to the instructions, overloading, off-road or competition use, or continued use after a fault was noticed.
  • Cosmetic issues that do not affect function — scratches, marks, colour variation — and damage on delivery not reported within 48 hours.
  • Software, firmware, apps and connectivity issues caused by third-party devices, updates or networks.
  • Missing evidence — no order number, no installation invoice where required, no photos or video of the fault, or a serial number that does not match our records.
  • Products bought under a wholesale or business agreement, which are governed by that agreement.
05

Installation-sensitive products

Product pages mark as installation-sensitive everything whose failure is usually caused by how it was fitted: lighting, sensors, screens and other electronics, brakes, suspension, steering, and anything connected to the vehicle’s electrical or safety systems.

For these products the warranty applies only if the installation was carried out by Master Service or by a qualified workshop, and you can produce a dated invoice for the installation naming the vehicle and the part. Self-installation, installation by an unnamed person, or an installation you cannot document voids the warranty in full, whatever the cause of the fault. The only exception is a defect that GEARGO confirms could not have been caused by installation — for example a screen with dead pixels on first power-up — and GEARGO decides whether that exception applies.

06

How to make a claim

  • 1. Stop using the product as soon as you notice a fault, if continuing could cause further damage or is unsafe. Damage caused by continued use is not covered.
  • 2. Contact us within the warranty period through the support form, by email or by phone, with the order number, the product, the date and place of installation, a description of the fault, and photos or a short video showing it. Attach the installation invoice for installation-sensitive products.
  • 3. Provide the product for inspection. GEARGO decides whether the claim can be assessed from your evidence or whether the product, or the vehicle, must be brought to our Tashkent point or sent to us. Shipping the product to us is at your cost and risk unless we say otherwise; we refund reasonable tracked shipping if the claim is approved.
  • 4. Assessment. We aim to decide within 10 working days of receiving the product. Where the manufacturer must examine it, assessment can take up to 30 working days and we tell you the expected time.
  • 5. Decision. We confirm the outcome in writing. If the claim is approved we carry out the remedy in Section 8. If it is refused we explain why; the product is returned to you at your cost or held for collection in Tashkent for 14 days.

A claim is valid only if it is made inside the warranty period with the evidence above. GEARGO may refuse a claim where the evidence is incomplete, where the product has been tampered with, or where we have reason to believe the claim is not genuine.

07

Remedies

For an approved claim the remedy is chosen by GEARGO in this order: repair of the product; if repair is not practical, replacement with the same or an equivalent product; and only if neither repair nor replacement is possible within a reasonable time, a refund of the price paid, reduced fairly for the use you have had of the product. Refunds are not offered where a repair or replacement is available.

Repairs and replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the original warranty or 3 months, whichever is longer. A replacement does not restart the warranty period.

Where the product was installed by Master Service, we also cover the labour to remove and refit it. Where it was installed elsewhere, labour is not covered unless GEARGO agrees to it in writing before the work is done.

08

Products sold by Sellers

Sellers give the warranty on their products within the minimums in this Policy and are responsible for the remedy. GEARGO receives the claim, inspects the product and decides whether it is covered; where a Seller disputes the decision, GEARGO’s decision under this Policy is final between you, the Seller and GEARGO.

09

Your statutory rights

This warranty is given in addition to the rights you have under the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Protection of Consumer Rights” in respect of products of inadequate quality. Nothing in this Policy excludes a right that the law does not allow us to exclude, and where such a right applies it prevails over the corresponding provision here. All other terms of this Policy apply in full.
